Oluwa Burna Boy is becoming a giant in the African music and it isn’t a coincidence that his new album is titled “African Giant“, which the album listening party was hosted by OkayAfrica somewhere in LA, and powered by Hennessy.
With an international connection (I mean, if you could feature in Beyonce’s album, you’ve towered higher than your peers), and a possible Grammy on the way, Burna Boy doesn’t seem like an artist that can easily be forgotten.
OkayAfrica hosted Burna Boy for his album listening party in a floral detailed push looking space, too fit for small classy gatherings, and there was Hennessy in everyone’s corner, including the “Burna Boy” customized bill.
Friends, fans, and family looked pretty expensive at the album listening party, partying into the night, with tastes of food and drink from Kenfe Kitchen and drinks from Hennessy.
With all the frenzies and happy faces we saw at the Burna Boy’s album listening party, our focus is tilting more towards Burna Boy’s diamond grills, which he matched with diamond-encrusted heavy rings, with one designed in a star sign, depicting his status as the star of Afrobeat.
In one of the interviews granted so far to radio stations, Burna Boy made some shocking, though not so surprising comment about his involvement in Beyonce’s album.
He revealed to on-air personalities of power 105.5 radio station in their breakfast club show that he never spoke with Beyonce directly, rather his mum told him about the opportunity and he jumped on the track.
Burna also revealed to the same team that he doesn’t have any other app in his phone aside WhatsApp.
When asked, didn’t Beyonce mail you about the , Burna said: “no, the only app I have on my phone is the WhatsApp”.
Do you think Burna Boy was right about not having any other app on his phone? Or just banter to rake in attention?
