Future Africa Award – Highlights & Red Carpet Moments
Over the weekend, we witnessed another episode of the future Africa awards where celebrities like Falz the badt guy, Timi Egbuson and a host of other celebrities who were deemed fit to be honored, went home with another title from the 2019 edition of the yearly awards.
For Afro-pop, Burna Boy clinched the young person of the year award, which he undeniably merited given the milestones he has covered in year 2019 alone.
Prior to the young person award at the future Africa awards on Sunday, his African Giant album got nominated for best world music album for 2020 Grammy awards.
Timini Egbuson, the young veteran actor, and personal photographer to vice president Osibanjo also got recognized for his awesome jobs that night as well.
The themed ‘Nigeria’s New Tribe’ 2019 event was organized to recognize boundary breakers, trail blazers and trend setters in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. Noble men and women from community advocates, innovators, Entrepreneurs etc.
This year, the award was themed ‘Nigeria’s New Tribe’ and was hosted by popular musician, Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana and actress Toni Tones.
They were also supported by social media sensation, Taymesan and Khafi of Big Brother Naija 2019 Reality show.
From the Future Africa Award’s fashion corner, these celebrities took fashion to a whole different level with their custom made attires, dramatic dresses and accessories.
Celebrities like Khafi Kareemand Taymesanwho donned spectacular ensembles for the big event, while Falz the badt guy and Tosin Ogundadegbe appeared in outstanding suits with pretty details.

Diane Yashim At Future Africa Award 2019
Diane wore a velvet gown, styled with a slit, off shoulder style and fringe to define her fierce fashion sense.

Toni Tones At Future Africa Award 2019
Toni Tones appeared fierce and unapologetic wearing a strapless ball gown in a same colored matchy heel.
Falz The Badt Guy lived up to his title as the future Africa Awards host, rocking a suit he called “the everlasting drip”. The detail seemed to be an in-to-out suit jacket pocket, with fashion chain to complete the “bad guy” look.
Adesola Ade-Unuigbe chose a long velvet gown, with ruffled chiffon to edge her slit.
